Jean-a-ma-jig Instructions: 1.Press and pin the jean hems. 2.Begin stitching, stopping 3/4" before the thick seam. With needle in the down position, raise the presser foot. 3.From the back of the presser foot, slide the Jean-a-ma-jig up to the thick seam allowance, lower the presser foot.

4. Slowly stitch across the seam and off jean-a-ma-jig. With the needle in the down position - raise the presser foot and remove Jean-a-ma-jig. 5. Stop when completely on Jean-a-ma-jig and lower the needle into the fabric.

As I got closer to sewing over the bulky seamline, I slid the jean-a-ma-jig directly behind and up against my sewing presser foot. The jean-a-ma-jig essentially raised the front of my presser foot up to the same level as the bulky seam line and I was able to sew smoothly over it. 24 people found this helpful. Helpful.
